- Invention Disclosure
- Copy of relevant non-patent document
- For a project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), please attach the "Approval List of Expenditure"; for a Technology Development project or the others please attach the contract or other document that can prove the ownership of the research results.
- Joint Patent Ownership Agreement. (If so)
- Self-apply Affidavit
After completing the above actions, you will receive an automatically generated case number from the system.
*All fields are mandatory except for 'Review Result', 'Responsible Person', 'Proposal Date', 'Review Date', 'R&D Cost', and 'Industry-Academia Project Results'.
The applicant is required to proactively inform the window in charge at the Center of the proposal number via phone or email.
After the Center confirms the accuracy of the System and all relevant paper documents, it will initiate the System to send “Proceeded” letters to all inventors.
Eligibility evaluation shall be conducted by a patent office entrusted by the Center.
The Center will look for technology advisors to evaluate patent elements.
The Center shall evaluate industrial utilization.
The Committee will determine whether the University would recommend and fund the patent application, as well as which national patents shall be applied.
- The Committee will make its decision based on the previous technology evaluation and industrialization results.
- In principle, the Committee convenes once per month and the Center will inform the applicant of the result within five working days after the meeting.
The Center will entrust offices selected by the Labor Purchase Section of the University for patent application operations.
The Applicant shall help the selected office to prepare the patent specifications and affairs related to the application.
Response: After receiving the official evaluation, the Patent Office will inform the inventor and the Center.
Acquisition of Proof of Use: After the official notification is received, the patent office will inform the inventor and the Center and list the acquired patent document number as national property to regularly maintain and evaluate the patent.
If, after a certain period of time, a patent has no possibility for technology transfer or has no one interested in taking over after the announcement, the subsidized unit shall agree to give up maintenance after a determination has been made by the committee.
